my photographic journeys

I am from Aotearoa, New Zealand, and have spent much of my time in the South Pacific, and in Clayoquot Sound on the west coast of Vancouver Island, BC. These are all spaces to be connected with the land, as well as with shore meeting sea and sky. My interest in photography began when my parents gave me a box Brownie camera for my 12th birthday. That early interest was fueled by a dear friend of my parents who crafted superb images of family and friends, processing them in her laundry that doubled as her darkroom. My pursuit of photographic images that evoke questions about relationships between people and their natural environments has expanded in the last few years as I have increased my time behind my lens. I aim to give you a lens to explore and re-imagine your place in the Universe. While most of my images are crafted with and through Nature, others capture precious moments with people whom I meet.

portfolios

I invite you to explore my portfolios, each of which comprise a series of themes depicting a place (e.g. Cambodia) or concept (e.g. liminality; kelp series). This is an unfolding adventure as I add new portfolios, themes and switch images on a regular basis. Check the top of each portfolios page for my most recent additions!

collections

Join international clients who are building collections of my images. While I will post combinations that work for me, I invite you to do your own imagining of combinations that resonate for you!!
